RESOLUTION NO. 17-044
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND A CONTRACT
WITH SAFEBUILT WASHINGTON, LLC, FOR PLAN REVIEW AND INSPECTION
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Manager entered into a contract with SAFEBuilt Washington, LLC
on November 7, 2016 for plan review and inspection services after the resignation of the City's
Building Official; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of the contract has exceeded the City Manager's signature
authority under PTMC 3.46.110; and,
WHEREAS, Council adopted Resolution 17-030 on July 10, 2017, amending the
contract to an amount not to exceed $50,000 to account for unanticipated expenses; and,
WHEREAS, there is immediate need for additional services from SAFEBuilt;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a 2nd amendment to the professional
services agreement with SAFEBuilt Washington, LLC, for a total contract amount not
to exceed $25,000.00 for plan review and inspection services.
2. All prior acts consistent with this Resolution are ratified and confirmed.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 18th day of September, 2017.
