RESOLUTION NO. 17-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CALL FOR BIDS AND
AWARD A CONTRACT FOR A SEPTAGE DEWATERING UNIT FOR THE
BIOSOLIDS COMPOSTING FACILITY
WHEREAS, the dewatering unit at the Biosolids Composting Facility is 24 years old,
which is past the expected useful life of said equipment; and
WHEREAS, this equipment is vital to the operation of the Biosolids Composting
Facility; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for this equipment is $140,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to call for bids and award a contract to supply a septage
dewatering unit for the Biosolids Composting Facility within the approved budget.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 18th day of September, 2017.
