NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES Date: November 3, 2016 Time: 4:30 pm Location: City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room Members Present: Jolly Wahlstron, Lys Burden, Pat Teal, Richard Dandridge, Scott Walker, Hendrik Taatgen, Mike Kaill Members Excused: Mark Henthorn
Staff Present: Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker, City Engineer David Peterson
Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes: September 1, 2016 Unanimous approval
Staff Report: David Peterson updated the Board on the upcoming Water Street paving project and the approval of the Complete Streets Ordinance by Council.
2017 Budget: Scott Walker will ask City Staff to maintain the same
budget for trail projects.
Next Work Party: Scott Walker will talk with David Peterson about working on Eddy Street between 16th & 19th for a future work party.
Public Comment: Margaret Lee commented on the pedestrian crossing at intersection of Kearney Street and Sims Way.
Bicycle Friendly City Award: Lys Burden updated the Board on the
status of the Bicycle Friendly City Award and suggested that the Board review some of the deficiencies it identified at a future meeting.
Next Meeting: Scheduled for December 1, 2016
