Julian called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM. The agenda was rearranged to accommodate the consideration of the
public member applications in an executive session at the end.
MANAGER’S REPORT:
• Mark has ordered four new microphones and four new headsets.
• A hard drive died recently and caused some downtime on June 4. It was temporally replaced
until TelVue orders and sends a new one.
• Replacing the lights in the studio was discussed. There is about $3000.00 remaining in the
PEG Capital Expenditures fund for 2009. There may be some more remaining that has rolled
over from previous years.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Dennis Daneau presented his proposal to produce a 30 minute video which will introduce Port
Townsend’s new police officer, Ryan Smith, to our community. He will record Smith’s
training and graduation on two trips to the Federal Way Academy, and also interview Sgt.
Green and Conner Daily, who are involved with his training in Port Townsend. The estimated
cost of the project is $600.00. It was moved by Pam and seconded by Mark to accept this
proposal as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
• The summer work plan is to improve the studio backdrop system and make some
modifications / rearrangements to the control room.
• Public meetings about the Fire Levy / Regional Fire Authority will be recorded as they occur.
John reminded the board that such meetings need to be “news” not “promotional” to be shown
on 98.
ADJOURN:The chair announced the Committee meeting would adjourn to executive session at 4:00 to discuss
qualifications of candidates for the PEG Access Coordinating Committee, which was estimated to
take 10 minutes.
