A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, TO AMEND THE 2009-2014 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) TO CHANGE THE FUNDING SOURCE OF A
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE REVISED
TIP TO THE STATE
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the City 2009-2014 Six Year Transportation
Improvement Program (TIP) with Resolution No. 08-023 in July 2008; and
WHEREAS, the Federal and State governments have announced a transportation
stimulus package that includes an additional $2.63 million in federal funding fox the City's
Gateway Improvement I project; and
WHEREAS, these funds were not shown on the 2009-2014 Six Year Program for the
Gateway Improvement I Project; and
WHEREAS, the federal stimulus monies for the project must be listed in the 2009-2014
Six Year Program in order to be obligated by WSDOT for funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the Mayor is authorized to sign this amendment resolution approving the change
to the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2009-2014 for submission to the
Washington State Department of Transportation.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 17th day of February, 2009.
