Title: We Need Your Voice! Take the 2nd Howard Street & Upper Sims Way Survey
Thank you to the 360 participants of the first survey on the future of Howard Street & Upper Sims
Way. Your responses will determine if we are capturing the community vision in creating the subarea
plan to ensure those developing and/or opening a new business understand both the community vision
and city’s development expectations for this neighborhood. Again, we need your voice!

you missed the first survey, it’s not too late to let your voice be heard. Take the survey now and share your ideas.
The Subarea Plan is created by the community for the community.
The first online survey asked you to share your vision for Howard Street & Upper Sims Way: What type
of businesses do you want? What should the neighborhood look like—Artisan businesses? Housing?
Restaurants? And you responded. Now we’re ready to start drafting the plan. And we need to know if we got your vision right.
The second survey takes your community-driven input and puts it into draft concepts for you to
respond to. We want to know: Do the concepts capture your vision for this community? Are we on
track in understanding what you want to see in this community: Access to restaurants, shopping, well-
paying jobs, and housing?
Success of this project relies on a partnership that includes you and your voice!
