Community Open House
About the Open House:
Come and review with us the final plans for the Water Street Enhancement Project. This open house is
an opportunity for the public to review project plans and give input on the finishing touches to city staff.
Display boards will be available, highlighting the project’s final features. City staff will also be present to
answer questions and give updates.
About the Project:
The Water Street Enhancement Project spans from Taylor Street to the Ferry Terminal. Construction will
be January through June 2018. Project benefits will include pavement replacement, watermain replace-
ment, sewer line replacements, sidewalk widening, street tree additions and replacements, drainage
improvements, transit stop improvements, public space and seating improvements, and moving over-
head utilities underground (the PUD will complete by 2020).
Provide Input On: Finishing touches for gateway features, parking, signs, striping, trees….and
more. There will also be an opportunity to comment on improvements to downtown in general.
