RESOLUTION NO. 17-030
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND A CONTRACT
WITH SAFEBUILT WASHINGTON, LLC, FOR PLAN REVIEW AND INSPECTION
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Manager entered into a contract with SAFEBuilt Washington, LLC
on November 7, 2016 for plan review and inspection services after the resignation of the City's
Building Official; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the contract has exceeded the City Manager's signature
authority under PTMC 3.46.110; and
WHEREAS, although the immediate need for its services has decreased with the hiring
of a new Building Official the Planning Director wishes to keep SAFEBuilt under contract for
additional work if necessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the professional services
agreement with SAFEBuilt Washington, LLC, for a total contract amount not to
exceed $50,000.00 for plan review and inspection services.
2. All prior acts consistent with this Resolution are ratified and confirmed.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 10th day of July, 2017.
