RESOLUTION NO. 17-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD GRANT AGREEMENT FOR
EMERGENCY PAVEMENT REPAIRS AND TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS TO
COMPLETE THE REPAIR WORK
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a Transportation Improvement Board (TIB)
grant in the amount of $46,555.00 with a match of $8,200.00 for emergency pavement repairs on
City streets that are federally -classified routes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign the TIB grant
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
1. To authorize the City Manager to sign a project funding agreement with the
Washington State Transportation Improvement Board to fund emergency pavement repairs.
2. To authorize the City Manager to enter into contracts to complete the repair work.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 19th day of June, 2017.
