HomeMy WebLinkAbout1885 Licensing Temporary Activities of Certain Non-Profit GroupsORDINANCE NO. %~ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCI~ TO AUTHORIZE THE LICENSING OF TEMPORARY ACTIVITIES BY CERTAIN NONPROFIT GROUPS ON PUBLIC WAYS AND AREAS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWSl Section. Upon application made by a nonprofit public service organization which is engaged in the conduct of any fair, show, festival or other publictly attended entertainment or celebration, which entertainmne~tis not of a poltical, religious or commercial nature, the City Council may delegate to the applicant the authority to license sales of goods and services in and upon public streets and places which are included within the area in which such activities of the applicant transpire; provided, however, that such permit shall not be granted for more than one week to any applicant, or agent or subsidiary of an applicant, within one calendar year. Section 2. In consider~lig~ any application made pursuant hereto, the Council may require a full and complete disclosure of the identity of the apglicant, its members, financial condition, purposes and history, and may require a bond and such insurance as may be deemed proper, and, in every case. may decline to grant a permit without stating any findings or cause for denial.
