AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
BY REZONING BLOCK 36 OF THE RAILROAD ADDITION
FROM P-I ZONING TO C-II ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On condition that the applicant, Port
An~es Savings and Loan Association shall commence construction
in accord with plans submitted in connection with its application
for rezone within two years from the date hereof, that the
applicant will provide a covenant requiring approval of the City
Council of the site plan and architectural style prior to the
issuance of a building permit, and that any construction beyond
that indicated in the original building permit shall be subject
to approval by the City Council, Block 36 of the Railroad
Addition to the City of Port Townsend is hereby rezoned to
henceforth be C-II zonm, and the official zoning map of the
City is hereby amended accordingly.
Section 2. In the event that construction is not
commenced by the applicant on the described property within two
years from the date hereof, as provided in Section 1 hereof,
the said property shall revert to P-I zoning, and the official
zoning map shall be amended accordingly.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times and passed by
the Council on~ 3uly 21 , 1981.
