RESOLUTION NO. 17-020
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO UPDATE AUTHORIZED
SIGNERS FOR AGREEMENT WITH ZURICH AMERICAN LIFE INSURANCE
COMPANY
WHEREAS, the City adopted Resolution 91-27 on April 2, 1991, which authorized the
Mayor to enter a contract with Zurich American Life Insurance Company ("Zurich" formerly
known as Kemper Investments) to manage part of the City's Deferred Compensation Program;
and,
WHEREAS, to update its Plan Administrator and Authorized Signers requires an
amendment of the original resolution; and,
WHEREAS, the City (TIN 91-6001267) designates the Finance & Administrative
Director, Human Resources Manager and City Clerk as appropriate appointees for decisions
related to the Zurich Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend:
1. The second section of Resolution 91-27 is amended to read as follows:
The City Manager, Finance & Administrative Services Director, and Human Resources
Manager are each authorized to execute any documents relating to the Zurich American Life
Insurance Company Deferred Compensation Plan (Contract #K006014045);
That the City Manager is authorized to sign a memorandum specifying the persons
authorized to sign documents related to this contract on behalf of the City.
2. The City Manager is authorized to update the signature memorandum as required
without further Council approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1" day of May 2017
