CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF OCTOBER 27, 2008
CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend met in workshop session the
twenty-seventh day of October 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Port Townsend City
Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Michelle Sandoval presiding.
ROLL CALL
Council members present at roll call were Brent Butler, David King, Laurie
Medlicott, George Randels, Catharine Robinson, Michelle Sandoval and Mark
Welch.
Staff members present were, City Manager David Timmons, City Attorney John
Watts, Public Works Director Ken Clow, Finance Director Michael Legarsky, and
City Clerk Pam Kolacy.
DEMONSTRATION
Jason Otterstad of Granicus provided a demonstration of the Granicus
MediaManager and MinutesMaker software and answered several questions
from Council members. Purchase of the system has been requested as part of
the City Clerk's budget proposal.
2009 BUDGET
The Council will take up discussion of Granicus along with other outstanding
2009 budget issues, including the loss of long range planning and code
enforcement positions at their next scheduled workshop.
Mayor Sandova! reminded everyone of the community education forum on the
Border Patrol activities scheduled for Monday, November 3 at Chimacum High
School.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:58 p.m.
