RESOLUTION NO. 17-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH PYRAMID COMMUNICATIONS, INC. FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend ("City") staff has identified a need to evaluate
and reconsider how the City communicates with its citizens, such as through the City's website,
social media, and newsletters; and
WHEREAS, the City issued a request for proposals ("RFP") in Fall 2016. Staff invited
the top three applicants for an interview and in-person presentation. Pyramid Communications,
Inc. was ultimately selected as the consultant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute a contract with Pyramid
Communications, Inc. for development of a communication strategy, in an amount not to exceed
$50,000 plus applicable sales tax.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 21 st day of February, 2017.
