AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MEMORIAL FUND
AND PROVIDING FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF AND
DISBURSEMENT FROM THE SAME
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is here and hereby established a fund, to be
known and d~signated the "Memorial Fund," wherein shall be deposited
all sums of money coming to th~ City of Port Townsend and its various
departments, boards and commissions by reason of gift, bequest or other
voluntary gratuitous transfer from any person or entity.
SECTION 2. The appropriation and disbursement of sums from the
Memorial Fund shall be made in the same manner as other funds of the City
are disbursed.
SECTION 3. Funds coming into the Memorial Fund may be and shall
be accepted and managed in accord with any conditions and terms imposed
by the donor in making the gift.
SECTION 4. Funds in the Memorial Fund may be %nvested and re-
invested by the Clerk-Treasurer, in the same manner as may be utilized
for the investment of other City funds.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval
and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the Council and
approved by the Mayor this 2nd day of November, 1982.
