RESOLUTION NO. 17-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE DESIGN CONCEPT FOR THE VISITOR CENTER
PARKING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO SIGN ALL CONTRACTS FOR THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City adopted Resolution 16-020 on May 16, 2016, authorizing the City
Manager to prepare a concept design and cost estimate for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City's consultant has prepared a concept design and cost estimate; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager proposes funding the City's share of the Project using
proceeds from refunding 2008 LTGO bonds and borrowing additional funds for this and other
projects; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
1. Council approves the conceptual design for the Visitor Information Center Parking
Improvement Project as shown as Exhibit A.
2. Council approves including this Project in the list of those City projects for which the
2008 Bond refund proceeds may be used, if Council subsequently approves an
ordinance to refund the 2008 bonds.
3. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate, bid, and execute all agreements
necessary to complete the Project provided sufficient funds have been appropriated.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 171" day of January, 2017.
