AN ORDINANCE VACATING GRANT STREET BETWEEN
AND 48TH STREETS AND RESERVING CERTAIN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SectiQn 1. That portion of Grant Street between 47th
Street and'~48th ~treet in the City of Port Townsend be and the
same is. hereby 'vacated.
Section 2. That the City reserves and retains in the
vacated, street,-~for itself, the public and its successors and
assign~,~ an easement and the right to exercise and grant ease-
ments over, above and upon said street for the construction,
repair and maintenance of any and all public utilities and
services,-and the operation thereof.
Section' 3.? That the City reserves and retains in the
vacated street, for itself, the public, and its successors and
assigns an easement over and upon said street for equestrian
purposes, including but not limited to the passage of horses,
horseback riders, and pedestrians therewith, over, through
across and along said street.
Section 4. That each of the easements above shall be twelve feet
wide, six feet on either side from.the centerline of said vacated street.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on this ~h.__._.day of September, 1984.
