RESOLUTION NO. 16-036
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH SEATTLE SMSA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP D/B/A VERIZON
WIRELESS FOR COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT ON CITY PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Seattle SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless ("Verizon") has
asked to lease approximately 450 square feet on the roof of the City Hall Annex for
communications equipment; and,
WHEREAS,Verizon applied for and has been granted preliminary approval on all
required City permits; and,
WHEREAS, staff recommends approval of the proposed lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a lease agreement with Seattle
SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless for an initial term of five years, with
three possible five-year extensions.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to take all administrative actions
consistent with the intent of this Resolution.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof,held this 1 st day of August, 2016.
