RESOLUTION NO. 16-033
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AGREEMENTS
WITH CANON FINANCIAL FOR THE RENTAL OF COPIER/PRINTER/SCANNER
DEVICES
WHEREAS,the City's contracts with Canon for copier/printer/scanner devices is due to
expire in September, 2016; and
WHEREAS, copiers are a necessary piece of equipment used by multiple departments in
the City; and
WHEREAS, City staff have identified the National Association of State Procurement
Officials (NASPO) contract on the State of Washington contract list as the most advantageous to
the City; and
WHEREAS, City Council must authorize any supplies contract over$30,000.00; and
WHEREAS,the total value of the rental contracts is approximately$98,772.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to sign rental agreements with Canon Financial for
copier rentals through the NASPO/State of Washington contract#05214.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 18th day of July, 2016.
