AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF $700 TO THE
LIBRARY FUND, MAKING FINDINGS,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, UPON REVIEW OF THE 1986 BUDGET
FOR THE CITY, MAKES THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS OF FACT:
A. Library services to Jefferson General Hospital have been deemed necessary
by the Library Board.
B. J~fferson General Hospital has recognized there are additional costs
connected with providing these library services and agreed to a contract fee.
C. The foregoing emergency was not reasonably foreseeable-at the time of
filing of the city's preliminary budget, and requires the expenditure of money
not provided for in the annual budget for 1986.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sume of SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($700.00) is here and hereby
appropriated as a supplement to the 1986 budget of the City of Port Townsend
in the Library Fund to pay the additional cost for Western Library Network
input fees, staff training, and interlibrary loan and reference service
to be financed by contract fees collected from Jefferson General Hospital.
Section 2. There is here and hereby found and declared to be an emergency
requiring the aforegoing appropriation to the said 1986 budget of the City
of Port Townsend.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval,
and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first time March 4, 1986. Read for the second and third times,
passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on March 18, 1986.
