Adjournment - HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Date: February 2, 2016 Time: 3:00 pm Location: City Hall, Third Floor Conference Room Members Present: Charles Paul, Chair; Richard Berg; Marsha Moratti; Don Schussler; Cate Comerford; James Manier; Brent Davis Members Excused: None Staff Present: Senior Planner John McDonagh; Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker; City Attorney Steve Gross Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action Approval of Minutes: January 5, 2016 Unanimous approval Appearance of Fairness: Cate Comerford recused herself from the discussion on HPC15-030. HPC16-001, 2112 22nd St.: Matt Wallace of Hope Roofing presented his application to replace wood shingle roofing with metal seam roofing. The Committee voted to recommend approval of the application by a vote of 5-2. HPC14-038, Trinity United Methodist Church: Bill Brock presented revised plans for the proposed building addition which included a shorter ridgetop and daylight plane. Windows may also be added to the North end of the building. Collette Kostelec noted that the proposal blocks light to the neighboring yard and that windows may not be desirable for the neighbors. The Committee voted unanimously to recommend approval of the revised schematics as presented. HPC15-030 Fowler House Rehabilitation: Cate Comerford presented the application in her role as architect for the applicant. The Committee had previously approved of the massing and layout of the proposal. The applicant sought approval for design elements including window, door and railing details. The Committee postponed decision until a February 16th Special Meeting and asked the applicant to provide a specific scope of work. City Attorney Steve Gross advised the Committee on matters regarding subcommittees, site visits, meeting notices and the Open Public Meetings Act. Next Meeting: A Special Meeting was Scheduled for February 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
