HomeMy WebLinkAbout16-016 Water Street Overlay Design Resolution 16-016 RESOLUTION NO. 16-016 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND SIGN ALL CONTRACTS FOR THE DESIGN OF THE WATER STREET OVERLAY—FERRY TERMINAL TO TAYLOR STREET PROJECT WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) Arterial Preservation Project grant in the amount of$690,000; and WHEREAS, City funds are needed for the match component totaling $127,230. The Limited Tax General Obligation(LTGO)bond line of credit(authorized at$1,500,000 with no current outstanding balance) can initially fund the match; and WHEREAS, this project has been identified on the City's adopted 2016—2020 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the TIB grant award letter states that construction must be underway by June 2017; and WHEREAS, the City has selected SCJ Alliance as the consultant for the design of the Water Street Overlay - Ferry Terminal to Taylor Street project; and WHEREAS,the City Council must authorize the City Manager to award and sign all contracts for the design of the Water Street Overlay—Ferry Terminal to Taylor Street project; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend to authorize the City Manager to award and sign all contracts for the design of the Water Street Overlay—Ferry Terminal to Taylor Street project. ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof, held this 2nd day of May, 2016. Deborah S.
