RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND GRANTING FINAL PLAT APPROVAL TO
CORONA GARDENS PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT,
APPLICATION LUPOH-062
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, Robert and Donna Greenway have petitioned the City for final approval
of the Corona Gardens Planned Unit Development (PUD) and Short Plat, located off Corona
Street and Sherman Street in central Port Townsend; and
WHEREAS, the original preliminary PUD and Short Plat applications were submitted
on or about August 9, 2005 (LUPOS-087) and involved creation of 7 new residential lots from
approximately 1.3 acres. The new lot configuration is achieved via the replatting of 12-
existing lots and a section of previously vacated Corona Street lying within the Dundee Place
Supplemental Addition to the City of Port Townsend; and
WHEREAS, the Corona Gardens PUD and Short Plat applications were granted
preliminary approval, subject to certain conditions, by the City's Hearing Examiner in
January, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has reviewed and approved the construction
plans for all required infrastructure and found their installation to be in compliance with the
Hearing Examiner's decision, so long as "as-built" plans for the infrastructure together with
an appropriate means of conveyance are provided to the City prior to recording; and
WHEREAS, the Development Services Director has found that the final PUD and
Short Plat request is in conformance with the Hearing Examiner's preliminary PUD decision,
complies with applicable environmental mitigation measures, and includes appropriate
measures for recording to title a Planned Unit Development Agreement (PUDA) signed by
both the applicant and the city. Further, the final PUD and Short Plat approval for Corona
Gardens is consistent with Chapters 17.32, 18.12 and 18.24 of the PTMC; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposal and concurs with staff's
recommendation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby APPROVES
the Corona Gardens PUD and hereby directs staff to facilitate recording of the final Short Plat
with the County Auditor once "as-built" plans for the infrastructure along with their
conveyance have been provided. Furthermore, the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign

the required PUDA on behalf of the city once the final draft has been reviewed and approved
by the City Attorney in consultation with the Directors of Public Works and Development
Services.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular business
meeting thereof, held this fifteenth day of September, 2008.
