A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
WITH WILSON MICHEL INC. TO PROVIDE REPAIR WORK TO THE CITY'S
WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN LINE.
WHEREAS, the City's Water Transmission Pipeline experience a significant break on February
6, 1999; and
WHEREAS, emergency work has already been conducted to ensure the integrity of the
pipeline; and
WHEREAS, additional work is required which is urgent but not emergent in nature therefore
requires Council approval of the construction contract; and
WHEREAS, Wilson Michel Inc. has been chosen by the City and the Port Townsend Paper
Company to perform the repair work on the Transmission Pipeline
N O W T H E R E F O R E
Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager
to sign a Construction Contract with Wilson Michel Inc.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
16th day of August, 1999
