RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, ENDORSING THE WAYFINDING
PROJECT AND THE SUBMISSION OF A PRESERVE AMERICA GRANT
APPLICATION
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend desires to develop a Wayfinding
System that will help guide visitors to key destination points and local visitor
amenities; and
WHEREAS, the Wayfinding System will help support Port Townsend's
overall brand as a Victorian Seaport and maritime center; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend desires to apply for a grant through
the Preserve America Grant Program to fund a project to develop the Wayfinding
System; and
WHEREAS, it is a requirement of this grant application that the city's
governing body provide a resolution of support,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Port Townsend hereby endorses the Wayfinding Project and authorizes
submission of a grant application to the Preserve America grant program.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this second day of Tune, 2008.
