Speak Up Port Townsend
Port Townsend, WA—The City of Port Townsend is opening another line of communication with
members of the community.
"Speak Up" is a new platform that the city has launched to open discussions on projects, develop
informal surveys, and collect ideas from residents through an easy-to-use interface.This resource will
also facilitate dialogue among community members.
"This innovative tool provides another way for the City of Port Townsend to listen and hear from our
community members," said Joanna Sanders, City Clerk.
The City strives to provide a variety of resources to the community in order to make available relevant
information and data and encourage more citizen participation.
The first projects to be featured on this site are the Comprehensive Plan 2016-2036 Growth
Management Act Periodic Update and Library Community Read.
Staff members will monitor the site, answer questions, and provide feedback online. In addition to
community members providing ideas, city-related projects will also be posted for comments and
discussions.This information will be reported to policy makers and department leadership.
