Correspondence/Attachments – For items being reviewed on today's Agenda, Staff has compiled an Applicable Guidelines Checklist for use by the HPC in their discussions and deliberations. 5. Appearance of Fairness - 6. New Business - A. HPC15-033, 1123 Van Ness Removal of detached accessory building associated with a Secondary historic residence and construction of new replacement accessory building with rear line setback departure. Owner: Elizabeth Mention Agent: Guy Hupy, Guy Hupy Design HPC's recommendation is being sought on:  Removal of the existing accessory building – would doing so be detrimental to the home's historic character (PTMC 17.30.310)?;  The replacement building's overall design – is the proposed accessory building's design consistent with applicable guidelines for new construction? (PTMC 17.30.158 and .140, as applicable); and,  The replacement building's setback departure request – Does the HPC believe the requested departure meets the approval criteria set forth in PTMC 17.30.159.C? HPC15-034, Sail Loft Building 315 Jackson Street New second means of egress galvanized staircase Owner/Applicant: Port of Port Townsend Agent: Richard Berg, Terrapin Architecture HPC's recommendation is being sought on:  Is the proposed staircase construction consistent with adopted guidelines applicable for new additions? HPC15-028, Clapp Building Rehabilitation Owner: 725 Water Street LLC Agents: Rick Hiner, Richard Hiner Architects Layne Padilla, 725 Water Street LLC HPC is being asked to: • Continue Pre-Application discussion of revised schematic plans for rehabilitation of the Clapp Building, including construction of new side and roof top additions. • Provide a formal recommendation on proposed removal of west wall parging to allow for re-pointing of underlying masonry (PTMC 17.30.140, as applicable). i.
