A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HISTORIC
DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has received a grant from the Washington State
Department of Transportation for the Historic Downtown Streetscape project; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager must sign all contract agreements for the construction of
the Historic Downtown Streetscape Project; and
WHEREAS, this project has been identified on the adopted 6 year Transportation
Improvement Plan, 2008-2013 and on the City's 2008 CIP; and
WHEREAS, these projects were designated as priority projects in the East Downtown
Streetscape Plan providing the installation of improved streetscape facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary
documents and contracts for design and construction of capital projects,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by-the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manger is hereby authorized to sign all necessary documents and
contracts for the construction of the Historic Downtown Streetscape Project, within available
funding.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 5th day of May, 2008.
