NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2016 Growth Management Act Periodic Update Comprehensive Plan and
Development Regulations
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, November
16, 2015, at or about 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 540 Water Street, Port Townsend,
WA to accept public testimony on the Planning Commission's recommended periodic
update docket ("docket"). The docket summarizes the results of the compliance review
of the City's comprehensive plan and development regulations pursuant to the Growth
Management Act (GMA) (RCW36.70A.130). It identifies:
• mandated revisions necessary to comply with the state GMA
• housekeeping revisions necessary for consistency/reflect changed
circumstances, and
• suggested amendments (made by citizens, city council or members of the
city council, city staff, city departments) that warrant further consideration
during the 2016 periodic update process.
Persons wishing to testify may do so either by submitting oral testimony during the
public hearing or by submitting written comments to the City Clerk at
(2016UPdate(a)_cityofpt.us), 250 Madison Street, Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
Written comments must be received by the close of business on November 16, 2015.
The Planning Commission's recommended docket is available for inspection in the City
Clerk's office on the second floor of City Hall. City Council packets are also made
available online at http://www.cityofpt.us/video.htm approximately one week prior to a
scheduled meeting.
