RESOLUTION NO. 15-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON,AMENDING RESOLUTION 15-007 AND AUTHORIZING
CHANGING THE NAME OF THE GRANT RECIPIENT FOR A LOAN OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
Applicant(s): Jefferson Community School
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Port Townsend previously authorized
Resolution 15-007, authorizing a grant to Jefferson Community School, hereinafter referred to as
"Borrower," from the City's Main Street Development Loan Fund Committee ("Committee") for
a loan in the amount of$40,000.00 for the needed maintenance, repairs and painting of the Good
Templars Hall located at 280 Quincy Street in Port Townsend, Washington; and
WHEREAS, Borrower has notified the City that the name on its application did not
reflect the legal name of the owner of the property, which is "Friends of JCS, L.L.C." and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that changing the name of the grant recipient will
not adversely affect the intent of the grant authorization
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend:
1. Resolution 15-007 is amended by changing the name of the Borrower from"Jefferson
County School"to "Friends of JCS, L.L.C." wherever required.
2. All other provisions of Resolution 15-007 remain unchanged.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 15th day of June, 2015. 1
