HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-040 Authorizing CM to execute agreements with certainResolution No. 07-040 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH CERTAIN GOVERNMENTAL, NONPROFITS AND OTHER ENTITIES CONSISTENT WITH FISCAL YEAR 2008 APPROVED BUDGET The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington resolves as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council approved first reading of Ordinance 2958 at its October 29, 2007 meeting and at the December 17, 2007 meeting expects to approve final adoption of the 2008 annual budget, which provides City funding for certain nonprofit organizations, certain other entities, and certain other annual contracts of a reoccurring nature; and WHEREAS, pursuant to PTMC 3.46.100, the City Council determines it appropriate to authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with the nonprofit organizations, and other annual contract providers, in amounts consistent with the 2008 approved annual budget, as set forth on the attached list (Exhibit A) entitled "Annual Contracts"; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the City Manager is authorized to execute agreements in the form approved by the City Attorney with the governmental, nonprofits, other entities and certain annual contract providers, in the amounts approved in the adopted 2008 annual budget, as shown on the attached list entitled "Annual Contracts." ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular business meeting thereof, held this seventeenth day of December 2007. ~.
