2015 Budget and Parkside Park Development Update
6. Declaration of Interest in joining PRTAB by Brenda McMillan
7. Report on Jan 9 meeting about Feb DNR Puget SoundCorps work crew assistance. (Alex or

8. Update on RTP proposal. (Alex or Debbie)
9. PRT work plan 2014:
Volunteers for our parks-
i. Sather Park Ivy pull work parties every Tues. 1-3 by the No Ivy League, except
Dec.
ii. Next Kah Tai Park work party Feb 22, to pot up native plants purchased by AAS
for KT from the Conservation District. Report on Jan 18 Kah Tai work party.
10.No camping in Parks.
Follow up on no camping signs for pedestrian entrances into Kah Tai Park. Sign for 12th and
Haines Place pedestrian entrance installed.
11. Dog leash ordinance.
Leash law issue will be taken up by staff/Council in 2015, possibly as early as Jan 19.
Update in timing of leash law issues and considerations by staff/Council. (Debbie)
12.Proposed work plan inclusions for 2015 to Josh Stecker for City Council packet.
a. Volunteer software possibilities
b. UGN Day of Caring effort for parks Sep.
c. Arbor Day effort Apr.
d. Discussion of grant proposal possibilities
e. Kah Tai entrance planting.
13.Correspondences:

g. Landmark tree application for tree(s) in front of Lewis Bld.
Clarification of process for consideration of landmark nominations (Alex/staff):
i. What (if any) is PRTAB's role in consideration process?
ii. How are public trees considered?
iii. Are park trees and street trees considered differently?
iv. How are privately owned trees considered?
14.Review of running list, kept by PRTAB chair, about issues and changes that need to be
considered for inclusion in future parks plan update (2020).
15.Next regularly scheduled PRTAB meeting Tuesday Feb 24 from 4:30-6pm? Future Meeting
