STREET AND STEVE STREET AS CLAREMONT STREET;
AND RENAMING CALUMET STREET AS STEVE STREET;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1844; AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSMEBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Amendment
Section 1 of Ordinance 1844 is here and hereby amended to
read as follows:
A portion of real property owned in fee simple by the City
of Port Townsend, not dedicated as a street or streets, and there-
fore not subject to reversion to the original owner or owners in
the event of future vacation, is here and hereby established as a
public street and right of way, to wit:
(a).. That-portion of vacated Claremont Street
lying between Block 68 and Block 73 of Fowler's
Park Addition to the City, and lying Easterly of
the following described line: Beginning at the
most Easterly corner of Lot 7 in said Block 73;
thence East along the SOuth line of said Claremont
Street to the center line of the vacated alley in
said line; thence North 45° 04' 12" West to the
center line of said Claremont Street; thence North-
easterly to the Southeast corner of Lot 7 in said
Block 68, the terminus of said line;
(b) (~e~he~-w~h) all that portion of vacated
Calumet Street lying South of said Block 73;
(c) (~n~) the Southwesterly 60 feet of the following
combined area consistinq qf:
Lots 8 through 18, inclusive, in said Block
73, together with all of the vacated alley lying
between lots 8 through 15 and lots 15 through 181(.T)
and together with the Northeast half of the vacated
alley abutting the Southwesterly lines of lots 8, 9,

Section 2 Claremont Street
All of that portion of the public street and right of way
established herein and described in sub-paragraph (a) and (c) above
is here and hereby named and shall be known as Claremont Street.
.Section 3 Steve Street
All of that portion of the public street and right of way
established herein and described above in sub-section (b)
of this Ordinance is here and hereby named and shall be known as
Steve Street.
Section 4 Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval
and publication in the manner provided by law, and upon a certified
copy being recorded with the Auditor for Jefferson County, State of
Washington.
