HomeMy WebLinkAbout2071 Stormwater Utility Service RatesORDINANCE NO. 2071 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE STORM WATER UTILITY SERVICE RATES FOR THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, FOR ALL PROPERTY AND PROPERTY USES OTHER THAN SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES, AND AMENDING SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 2054 AND CHAPTER 13.20 OF THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE. THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2054 together with Section 13.20.030 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code, are each here and hereby amended to read as follows: Single-family.(Dm~-~Dp~,eM,) residential fees The monthly service fee for each single-family(e~-~p~e~ ~es~e~) dwelling shall be five dollars, provided that the ratio of impervious to pervious surface on the lot shall not exceed fifty percent. If the ratio of impervious to pervious surfaces exceeds fifty percent, the rate established in Section 13.20.040 shall apply. Section 2 Section 4 of Ordinance No. 205~, %ogether with Section 13.20. 040 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code are each here and hereby amended to read as follows: Commercial/mul tiDle a.,n~d~ a.l~l _other~ fees. The monthly fee for all (eemme~e~a}~m~e~p~e-p~ege~ey) o.t,h, er, proper,t¥ within the City not covered by .S.~ection 13.20.030 shall be according to the following formula: (Impervious area ~ 3,000 sq. ft.) x single-family (~m~-~p~e~) rate = monthly fee Section 3 This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. The monthly fees imposed herein shall be effective on and after April 1, 1987, with the first billing to be made June 1, 1987, -1- Read for the first, second and third time, passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and approved by the Mayor on May 19, 1987.
