ORDINANCE NO. ~OP~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE EAST THREE (3) FEET OF
THE GRANT STREET RIGHT OF WAY, LYING BETWEEN FIRST
STREET AND THE NORTH BOUNDARY OF LOT 1,PLAT OF
ISLAND VISTA; ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS TO THE
VACATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL-OF_THE CITy OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ..........
Section 1. That that portion of Grant Street consisting
of the East three (3) feet thereof, lying between First Street
and the North boundary of Lot 1 of the Plat of Island Vista,
within the C~ty of Port Townsend, be and the same is hereby
vacated.
Section 2. That the street vacation as aforementioned
is conditioned however upon the following:
A. Ail fees and compensation pursuant to Chapter
12 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code must be paid prior to
the recording of this Ordinance with the Auditor of Jefferson
County, said fees and compensation to be paid by the applicant
to the City Clerk for the City of Port Townsend.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall not be published nor
recorded until the conditions set forth in Section 2 are satis-
fied and approved by the City, after which this Ordinance shall
take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the
form and manner provied by law, and this Ordinance will further
be recorded with the Auditor for Jefferson County, Washington.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by
the City Council for the City and signed by teh Mayor this
