RESOLUTION NO, 14-013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT
TO GREAT FLOORS FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF CARPETING
AT THE PORT TOWNSEND LIBRARY
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
WHEREAS,the Library needs to replace the carpeting at the Library before moving back;
and
WHEREAS, quotes for carpeting were.solicited to ensure the best price; and
WHEREAS, the vendor on the State Contract for floor coverings (Great Floors) had the
lowest price; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend and the State of Washington have an interlocal
purchasing agreement in place; and
WHEREAS,this agreement allows the City to buy off contracts already bid by the State of
Washington,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Great Floors to purchase and
install carpeting at the Port Townsend Library.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof,
held this 28th day of April, 2014.
