RESOLUTION NO. 14-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A SERVICES
CONTRACT WITH SUPERIOR MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS (SMS) TO PROVIDE
VEGETATION MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE ON UPPER SIMS WAY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
WHEREAS,the area along Upper Sims Way requires seasonal vegetation management and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the City has limited staff and resources for vegetation management and
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the Streets Department budgeted $15,000.00 to contract for said work; and
WHEREAS, the low bid of$13,393.92 was submitted by SMS through the Small Works
process; and
WHEREAS, City Council must authorize any services contract over$10,000.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to sign a services agreement with SMS to provide
vegetation management and maintenance services on Upper Sims Way.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof,
held this 21 st day of April, 2014.
