learn more details about this proposal.
2. Securing r/w for Spruce Valley Trail— Scott and Mary Heather still need to
meet with city attorney, John Watts, to discuss next steps needed.
3. November Trail Project—Excellent volunteer turn out, despite the significant
snowfall the night before, produced excellent progress gravelling the low spots
along the trail through 35th Street Park. Many thanks to Sally Chapin for bringing
hot coffee and bagels.
For the next trail project, the board decided to finish gravelling the trail on the
south side of 35th Street Park, with another 5 yards of gravel needed at the
31St/Thomas Street entrance of the park. The Trail Work Day will be on Saturday,
January 14th from 9 am to noon.
Three other trail projects were mentioned: one from Umatilla, up 31St toward
Cleveland, a second on one block of the Sherman r/w between Hastings and 2911''
and a third to finish the missing trail segments on the Howard Street r/w between
Hastings and Discovery. If the board decides to work on these projects, the City
must initiate the process of informing the adjacent landowners and needs
appropriate lead time.
