Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm by President, Scott Walker. Members in attendance: John Bodger, Lys Burden, Sally Chapin, Lowell Jons (arrived at 5:20 pm), Pat Teal and Dick Williams. Staff. Mary Heather Ames Visitors: Andy Cochran, Richard & Sue Dandridge, Tim Eaton, Jolly Wahlstrom, 11. Approval of agenda & minutes—Meeting agenda and minutes of the November meeting were approved unanimously. III. Changes and additions to agenda—none IV. Business 1. Potential Trail & Linear Park from Bishop Park to Kah Tai— Scott volunteered to speak with Michelle Sandoval before the next meeting to learn more details about this proposal. 2. Securing r/w for Spruce Valley Trail— Scott and Mary Heather still need to meet with city attorney, John Watts, to discuss next steps needed. 3. November Trail Project—Excellent volunteer turn out, despite the significant snowfall the night before,produced excellent progress gravelling the low spots along the trail through 35th Street Park. Many thanks to Sally Chapin for bringing hot coffee and bagels. For the next trail project, the board decided to finish gravelling the trail on the south side of 35th Street Park, with another 5 yards of gravel needed at the 31St/Thomas Street entrance of the park. The Trail Work Day will be on Saturday, January 14th from 9 am to noon. Three other trail projects were mentioned: one from Umatilla, up 31St toward Cleveland, a second on one block of the Sherman r/w between Hastings and 2911'' and a third to finish the missing trail segments on the Howard Street r/w between Hastings and Discovery. If the board decides to work on these projects, the City must initiate the process of informing the adjacent landowners and needs appropriate lead time.
