Contractors working on this project are required to have a Labor& Industries contractor's registration number and a City business license. Failure to provide proof of this documentation prior to work may result in job shut down while this is accomplished. 2. Owner or owner's agent shall review and oversee correction of any and all deficiencies noted by required inspections. 3. Re-inspection is required after inspection report corrections are completed. 4. The Building Department is unable to pass final inspection on your project until Public Works requirements have been completed and inspected. For Public Works inspection call 3852294. A minimum of twenty-four hours notice is required.Public Works approval must be received prior to scheduling the Building Department's final inspection. 5. Final Inspections are required prior to occupancy; A Certificate of Occupancy is required for a non- residential project. 6. Revisions require submittal& approval prior to making changes in the field. Contact the Development Services Department @ 379-5095 prior to making changes to the approved plans. 7. Aumock, Consulting Fire Code Official to the City of Port Townsend DT: 13 November 2006 RE: BLD06-218, Fire Alarm System, Marine Plaza Apts. Basement, 619 Clay St. This consulting Fire Code Official is in receipt of the set of plans for the above-referenced proposal from your office. The above-reference proposal was reviewed with the International Fire Code [1.F.C.], 2003 Edition, and Washington State Amendments, and NFPA 72, and the following constitutes this plan examiner's findings and determinations based upon the plans of record submitted. Findings,Determinations,and Requirements: 1. The proposal was reviewed as a Group R1 apartment occupancy as a replacement fire alarm system in the basement where a fire occurred, in a structure built in 1972; and, 2. An automatic fire detection alarm system is a voluntary installation for this occupancy and is not subject to the strict requirements of Section 907 of the international Fire Code; and, 3. The fire alarm system plan is found to be designed by a licensed alarm technician under the provisions of National Fire Code 72 and related sections; and, 4. The fire alarm system shall be installed by a licensed alarm technician under the provisions of National Fire Code 72 and related sections including Low Voltage certification from the Washington State Department of Labor& Industries; and, 5. The plan set included devices in the crawl area in the West end of the facility,and the proponent shall verify the need for the devices. It is understood that devices are proposed in the North crawl space area since this area is said that it is used for storage. 6. A formal confidence test report shall be provided for this system after satisfactory acceptance testing, with copies to the City's permit file for this proposed project[IFC 907.18]; and, 7. A complete set of as-built drawings of the completed system for the basement shall be provided on- site for the owner's records, [1FC 907.19]. Any other applicable or relevant sections of said Code not covered herein shall nonetheless apply to this proposal. 1.0 hour time was consumed in the review of this proposal. It is the administrative de ermination of this department that the proposal be approved subject to the aforesaid requirements.
