RESOLUTION NO. 13-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND SIGN ALL
CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHERIDAN STREET
SIDEWALKS I PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2013 - 2018 Six-Year Transportation
Improvement Program with Resolution 12-028 in July 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Mayor to represent the City to confirm the
STP funding with Resolution 13-010 in March 2013; and
WHEREAS, in 2010 the City applied and received funding through the Transportation
Improvement Board in the amount of$110,000; and
WHEREAS, the City and Jefferson Healthcare are partnering for the cost of the
sidewalk installation, with Jefferson Healthcare contributing $185,000 for their frontage
improvements; and
WHEREAS, in 2013 the City received $200,000 in Federal Highways Act
(FHWA)/Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) STP Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Sheridan Street Sidewalks I project is currently out to public bid and
bids are scheduled to be opened on Wednesday August 14th; and
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Council of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager to award and sign all contracts
for construction of Sheridan Street Sidewalks I.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 5th day of August 2013.
