The master meter for the City of Port Townsend's one million gallon standpipe failed on July, 24,
2012. A new meter was installed on August 10, 2012. Water production was estimated at 200,000
gallons per day for this period of missing data.

Reduce average daily per capita use by 5 percent over a 10 year period starting in 2004.

WUE Goals:
Overall water use has been on a general declining trend despite a growing population. Since 2004,
the City of Port Townsend has experienced an overall population growth of 8.8%. During this period
of population growth, the average daily per capita water use has declined by 26%. While water utility
rates have not changed since 2009, the city has continued to meet or exceed the goal of reducing
average daily per capita use by 5% over a 10 year period.

Port Townsend has continued the system wide leak detection program, surveying approximately 19
miles of distribution system piping during 2012. The leak detection program began in 2009 and
approximately 67% of the distribution system has been surveyed since then.
