Dear Mr. Stricklin:
Your community has been selected to participate in the Department of
Ecology's Washington Conservation Corps Program. The department will
provide the city with a WCC Corps member(s) to assist in maintenance and
custodial work at a selected sewage treatment plant. If the need arises,
Corps member(s) may be used to assist the city in other work not directly
associated with the sewage treatment plant.
Please familiarize yourself with the enclosed WCC law and its intent.
Also, please fill out the enclosed Memorandum of Understanding and its
appendixes and return to me. A final copy will be returned for your
signature.
After all the necessary paper work has been completed, you will be
authorized to hire a person(s) from referrals submitted by your local
Employment Security Office.
Based upon semi-monthly time reports submitted by the city, the depart-
ment's Fiscal Office will handle all payroll for WCC Corps members.
Additional material will be forwarded after finalization of the Memorandum
of Understanding.
If you have questions, please call me at (206) 459-6139.
Sincerely,
Glen A. Crandal
