A j~ESOLUTION RESCINDING CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO.
S~-~ PERTAINING TO APPROVAL OF A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT LOAN TO THE MOUNT BAKER
BLOK CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend previ-
ously passed Resolution No. x~t.~ , providing for a Community
Development Block Grant loan zn the amount of $12,000 to the Mount
Baker Block Corporation, and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has withdrawn his request for the
financing as indicated by a letter dated September 11, 1989, ad-
dressed to Cindy Thayer of the Main Street Project, a copy of
which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by
this reference, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Port Town-
send that Resolution No. ~-~, and the approval of the loan as
set forth thereir.~, be and the same are hereby rescinded, and of no
further' ~al'idity or effect.
PASSED by the City Counci.l..~for the City of Port Townsend and
approved by the Mayor this . ~z~.~ day of September, 1989.

RE: Allocation of Funds for Mt. Baker Block Corporation
Fire Escape
Dear Ms Thayer,
We are in the process of obtaining financing on the Mount Baker
Block Building. To eliminate duplication of loan fees, closing
costs, etc. we would like to officially withdraw our request to
receice $12,000 from the Main Street Project that was to be applied
towards a fire escape at the Mount Baker Block Building in Port
Townsend. The funds will be obtained through the refinance.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you Cindy. and
the Project, for working so efficiently in making these funds
available to me.
