A RESOLUTION adopting a work program for
reviewing plans and policies for the future
development of the commercial shoreline areas
of the City of Port Townsend, and for
considering revised regulations therefor.
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the City Council has passed Ordinance 2192, citing
certain findings concerning the direction of
development on the commercial shoreline areas of the
city and enacting certain interim controls; and
it is necessary and desirable to work expeditiously
during the period in which the interim controls are in
effect to consider plans and regulations governing the
course of future development in the areas subject to
the interim controls; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
that the following work program and public process shall be
undertaken to review the Port Townsend Urban Waterfront Workbook
and other recommendations in order to consider plans for future
development and appropriate revisions to the land use and
shoreline regulations of the City of Port Townsend:
Week 1.
Appoint Joint Waterfront Planning Committee--
City Council/Planning Commission
Week 2.
Publish Request for Qualifications for consultant
selection
Environmental Checklist prepared
Scoping Workshop I:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Joint Waterfront Planning
Committee is hereby authorized to make changes to this work
program from time to time as it finds desirable; provided that it
notify the City Council by August 31, 1990, if it finds that an
extension will be necessary.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and
