HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-118RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION authorizing a contract for consulting services with Hudson and Jelaco for an economic and planning assessment of the Castle Hill/Sheridan Street intersection, in order to assist with the preparation of a specific development plan for the Port Townsend Gateway Project. WHEREAS, on May 11, 1988, the City Council adopted by Resolution 88-43 a concept plan for the future development of the Sims Way Corridor; and WHEREAS, the City has been awarded grant funds, and has hired Stastny and Burke Architecture to develop a specific development plan in implementation of the Port Townsend Gateway Concept Plan; and WHEREAS, the City requests additional assistance in the planning and economic assessment of the Castle Hill/Sheridan Street intersection; and WHEREAS, contributions have been pledged in support of this effort by the three property owners, Keith Uddenberg, John Pickett, and Jeff Moore, of the Castle Hill shopping center; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appropriated like funds in the 1990 budget of the City of Port Townsend; and WHEREAS, Hudson and Jelaco have been selected to provide said assessment to help resolve private property concerns; Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for services with Hudson and Jelaco substantially in the form of the agreement attached hereto as Attachment A.
