A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND DECLARING MORSE CONSTRUCTION GROUP TO BE
THE LOWEST, RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ONE MILLION GALLON STANDPIPE.
WHEREAS, The City has advertised and received bids for construction of the 1.0 Million
Gallon Standpipe project; and
WHEREAS, Bids were received in a fair and timely fashion, in accordance with City and State
bidding laws; and
WI-IEREAS, The City has found Morse Construction Group to be the lowest, responsive,
responsible bidder,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1:
The bid submitted by Morse Construction Group for the construction of the one million gallon
standpipe is hereby accepted and Morse Construction Group is declared to be the lowest,
responsive, responsible bidder on the project.
SECTION 2:
The contract for construction of the one million gallon standpipe is hereby awarded to Morse
Construction Group in the amount of $970,514.00 plus sales tax, subject to MorSe Construction
Group's signature of the contract and posting of an acceptable performance bond, payment bond,
insurance certificates and all other documentation required by the contract documents and by
law.
SECTION 3:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the contract with Morse Construction Group.
