RESOLUTION HO. 94- ~,0
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH THE JEFFERSON COUIfFY BOARD OF COUNTY
COI~ISSIONERS REGARDING COUNTY-OWNED PROPERTY WHICH IS WITHIN CITY
LIMITS
The City and the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners,
through their respective designees, have been engaged in
negotiations regarding the acquisition by the City of certain
properties within the City limits which are owned by Jefferson
County; and
Recognizing that while significant progress has been made with
regard to the disposition of several of the properties which have
been the subject of the negotiations, it is apparent that additional
time will be needed to produce information needed to deal
effectively with certain unresolved issues regarding platted lots
within Block 40 of the Original Townsite {Tax Parcel Nos. 989704010
and g897040IS) and unplatted property adjacent to the 35th Street
right-of-way {Tax Parcel No. 001032001); and
It is the finding of the City Council that it is in the best
interests of the residents of the City and the County to further
explore all viable approaches which could facilitate the disposition
of the foregoing tax parcels for the public good,
