A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A
LOW-INTEREST LOAN THROUGH THE PUBLIC WORKS TRUST FUND FOR
WATER SYSTEM PROJECTS NECESSARY TO MEET THE CT AND SAFE
DRINKING WATER ACT REQUIREMENTS IN THE CITY AND TRI-AREA.
WHEREAS, the City is under Department of Health orders to meet the requirements of the
Safe Drinking Water Act and provide water which meets the CT requirement; and
WHEREAS, the City is developing the plans for the necessary upgrades required to meet these
requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Trust Fund provides a low interest loan to fund projects such as
these.
N O W T H E R E F O R E
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that it authorizes the
Mayor to submit a loan application to the Public Works Trust Fund for water system projects
necessary to meet the CT and Safe Drinking Water Act requirements.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this 7th day
of April 1997.
