A RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE APPLICATION LUP 97-00002
WITH CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, Gerald and Barbara Rainwater have petitioned the City in accordance with Title(s) 17
of the Port Townsend Municipal Code requesting a variance from the minimum lot size standards,
maximum site coverage requirements, and the minimum side yard setback requirements to allow
construction of a 600 square foot residence on a 3,420 square-foot, residential lot on Lot 22 of the
Cherry Park Addition to the City of Port Townsend; and
WHEREAS, the proposal was duly noticed pursuant to Chapter 20.01 of the Port Townsend Municipal
Code and no comments were received; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission conducted an open record pubhc heating for the purpose of taking
testimony, hearing evidence, considering the facts germane to the proposal, and evaluating the proposal
for consistency with adopted plans and regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a dosed record public hearing for the purpose of considering the
Planning Commission's recommendation and evidence in the record including any written comments
and/or public testimony received,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council hereby accepts and adopts the findings of fact, conclusions and
project conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission dated April 10, 1997.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend in regular session assembled this 5th
day of May , 1997.
