Members Present: Walter Galitzki (vice -Chair), Kathleen Knoblock; Monica Mader, Michael D'Alessandro and Richard Berg (arrived late). City
Council member/HPC liaison Monica MickHager. Members Craig Britton (Chair), and Kathleen Croston — absent excused.

Call to Order
Chair Britton called the meeting to order at
3:01 p.m. Members present and absent as
noted above.
Members agreed to reverse the order of Old
Business as some members who worked on
draft GL's were not present.

Old Business
A. HPC 2024 Workplan Discussion
Member Mader prepared a draft HPC
Continued review of Comp Plan areas involving historic preservation
commentary on the areas reviewed for
HPC Questions and Discussion
Comp Plan edits (attached) & asked they be
distributed by staff at a future meeting.
B. Draft Guidelines for Exterior Lighting, Solar Panels and Hardscape Installations
Members reviewed the draft Exterior
Lighting GL's. Some members suggested
they be made applicable to historic
residential development as well (not just
non-residential). Staff stated that a

proposal for doing so could be put forward
but recommended they not be applied to
homes for a variety of reasons (including
enforcement administration).
Members also agreed that limits on light
pole heights be exempted at the
Skateboard Park, as the draft currently does
at Memorial Field.
